What is the Franchise Skeptic?

Our Approach

Our service includes a comprehensive consult and review to help identify if your selected franchise meets your goals. Our experience in reading and understanding complex regulatory documents, as well as our inherent skepticism after seeing too many friends become financially crippled, even bankrupt, because of bad franchise decisions, drives our corporate mission.

With you, we will go over the document as a business case study, focused on the questions: Does this franchise meet our clients' personal and financial goals? Is it a proven, viable business, or is it a speculative business model? These answers are in the Disclosure documents, but only if you can tease them out AND are skeptical enough to accept them.

Why The Franchise Skeptic?

For the simple reason that this is a BS-free zone. Starting a business is hard, buying into someone else's business model is, no matter what they say, even harder. A Franchise is not necessarily a "blueprint to success" or "the ability to execute standard operating procedures", it's a business, an entity needing continuing inputs of capital to survive.

Our value proposition is this: For $295, you get a personalized, one-hour consultation with a professional, independent third-party who is not trying to sell you something, earn a commission, or generate further revenue from you. And for someone about to commit $180,000, or whatever the number at the bottom of that chart in Item 7, "Initial Startup Fees", $295 is pennies compared to what you would pay for a bad decision.
